CoronitaParticipantI predict that a lot of you are going to be paying a lot more for tech gear once with all the H1-B changes..I mean, I don’t personally mind…..I mean if my total comp could rise another 25-30%, and the rest of the consumers are forced to pay for it, I certainly don’t mind….lol.
CoronitaParticipantWell that didn’t take long. Trump just fired Yates.
Wow. Fireworks in DC. I can’t wait for when Trump has his hands on the nuclear codes. Oh wait…. Lol…
The funny part is, it doesn’t worry me at all. Because frankly, I am not afraid to die….Lol.
CoronitaParticipant
In this past weekend, the ACLU took in SIX TIMES as much as it does in a typical year!!
In a year, it typically gets $4M online.
Last weekend, over $24M was given.
Awesome!

yeah, i found it funny that some of of the folks on twitter were saying things like “defund the ACLU”……lol…
And there there were a bunch of folks spreading the FAKE NEWS that the Quebec City mosque shooting was done by two refugees yesterday too…
I just think this entire thing is so surreal, it’s almost comical if it weren’t for the fact that real people are being impacted by this…..
CoronitaParticipantLooks like acting AG just weighed in saying travel ban is unlawful…
We’re going to have a gridlock government over the next 4 years. This means it should be great for all of us that want government to leave us alone 🙂
CoronitaParticipant

flu, now that I think about it, if this was proposed and implemented with Obamacare (i.e. those who voted for Obama cover the cost instead of forcing the middle class to do it), we might not be talking about Trump right now and the stupid wall or the ban.
True, but at the same time, there were alternatives to healthcare. There’s no alternative to “no wall”. If our government wants to enforce immigration laws, fine. i don’t see how a wall is very helpful, considering like in SD we already have one or two. It would be interesting though that if we adopted a crowd sourcing model of funding certain projects. For example, people that want a high speed train could contribute and those that didn’t don’t. Those that contribute would pay a much reduced rate for use. And those that didn’t well, would pay a lot for it once it’s done.
I totally agree. But at least it takes one of his voters’ main reason for voting for him. Whether it would have made a difference, who knows, but I would think it would. But no one will know. We are where we are because of the decision the politicians made over the last 8 years. Remember, “Election have consequences” and “I have the pen and the phone”? Yep, we’re now in pen and phone overdrive. Not only that, Dems used the nuclear option and now, Rep only needed 51 votes to confirm Trump’s nominees. Thank you very much.
Yeah, I know…I’m just burying my head in the sand, and focusing on the trivial things in life, like painting a car, building a robot. Pretending the rest of America doesn’t exist 🙂

CoronitaParticipant
.
Oh come on, do tell 🙂 I won’t get mad. I’m, say, indifferent at this point.
CoronitaParticipantit’s interesting how much power the prez has with executive orders….
CoronitaParticipantYou know, maybe one good thing to come out of this is demonstration that our government, though far from perfect, may actually work….
CoronitaParticipant
Really long read flu,
Just have one question, who is going to come out with 5G and when will it be here? I’m assuming they will have to build a whole new parallel tower system which sounds expensive for the provider but lucrative for the supplier.
Ok just looked at the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5G super long but very interesting.
No idea. Like I said. I am no longer in this line of work.
I believe QC is already in field trials. Intel has yet to go to field trials.
CoronitaParticipantActually, the way to properly do this is to sell raffle tickets.
Maybe make each raffle tickets $300…
The grand prize would be you are income tax exempt for 4 years
The 1st place prize would be you are income tax exempt for 3 years
The 2nd place prize would be you are income tax exempt for 2 years
The 3rd place prize would be you are income tax exempt for 1 yearThe can also sell sponsorship tiles. For $100 each, you can design a ceramic tile with your name, etc, and that tile will be placed along the Wall after it is completed
CoronitaParticipantHere’s a much better solution to pay for the wall…. Lol
https://www.gofundme.com/thewallforpopulists
The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise $12 billion USD among Trump supporters and Populists who support Donald Trump and the POTUS’s interest in building “The Wall” between the United States and Mexico border.“The Wall” is estimated to cost $12Billion USD. This fundraiser is intended to crowd source the required funds for this public works project among the only people in the United States that want “The Wall” built: the POTUS, Republicans, Trump Supporters, and Populists. Crowdsourcing the funds for “The Wall” is the most efficient means of ensuring that this public works project is funded by the people who really want it, and only by the people who really want it.
There were approximately 59million people that voted for the POTUS and “The Wall”. Your fair share is $204 USD.
Borrowing and slightly modifying a phrase once used:
“If you like your Wall, you can keep it… Period… (and pay for it).
Help spread the word!
CoronitaParticipantAsia… Pffff. I’d say the trade war starts with mexico. And that’s going to screw up some of the old school industries first
Like the auto industry. Appliance industry. Ironically were the rust belt states count the most on in terms of jobs. But hey, they wanted this. No one thought trade wars hurts both sides right? Well, lesson to be learned the hard way.
January 26, 2017 at 1:54 PM in reply to: OT: PSA (from AN)… You will no longer need to go to South Coast Plaza for one of the best Taiwanese Eateries #805149
CoronitaParticipantThe key is to go on a weekday, and show up about 45-30minutes before the door opens.
If you show up after the door opens, expect a 1-2 hour wait. At least that’s how it is at South Coast Plaza
Here are there other locations in the US
http://dintaifungusa.com/locations_us/
There’s even a wikipedia about them.. Lol..
