CoronitaParticipant
Don’t fight the Fed is pretty basic LOL.
Mortgages rates above 5% now, the low end condo market is almost completely shut down. one more hike and I think the rest of the housing market may follow.
Huh?
I would think it’s more like the high end would slow down…low end is cheaper and people seem to still be able to buy….
I am going to try to sell and hopefully pocket a 100% gain from a short sales purchase, and do a 1031 exchange into a nicer area where rent prices are higher…at least that’s the plan….
I also need to deal with a sfh hopefully that will bring in an additional $4000/month that hopefully I can get on the market soon as soon as I fully move out.
too many things going on at the same time….
first world problem lol.
CoronitaParticipantI think in November, we will see a trade tariff settlement before the mid terms… Otherwise, Trump is going to have a big issue with the GOP, or what’s left of it…
CoronitaParticipantI guess I picked a bad time to decide to sell a rental property lol…
CoronitaParticipantso how will this outcome affect the blue wave?
CoronitaParticipant

Monkeys could fly in 2020.
It may be sooner. China was just busted big time with inserting spy chips into computer products they make for other countries – including SuperMicro motherboards. They either pretend to be a SuperMicro manager, bribe, or used threats to get the items inserted. At least 30 large companies have been affected, as well as governmental offices etc.
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/10/04/supermicro_bloomberg/
‘flu’ may be interested in this tech. There is an even more advanced version where the IC substrate has been ground down to the thickness of paper or less and then it is inserted within the motherboard’s fiberglass layers.
Considering that some companies have closed offices in China (sold off) and some of taken the step of disposing of all of their affected/suspect gear.. who knows where this ripple is going to go. It might adversely affect China. They have 2.5 times the US debt to GDP ratio. I think China forgot that you have to be careful of taking a dump where you eat.
What happens to an economy under sanctions/tariffs for various IP theft and dumping issues when it is also found to be inserting spy/remote access components into its computer components? Particularly when it relies on those exports to survive while running 2.5x the US’s debt (The US debt is bad enough as it is. Servicing the interest costs is starting to get expensive.)
but but but china is so cool, according to Brian…..
Why are people so surprised about this?
CoronitaParticipantThat’s a good point scaredy…I think I went from indifference, let the results of FBI investigation to decide, to “he lacks the temperment to be a judge”..
. pass…anyway, I am trying to avoid American politics….it seems like one big soap opera for rich, old, ugly people.

Isn’t that sort of scary? I mean I thought the way it works here is there is a presumption of innocence.
Apparently, statistically, 2% of rape claims are false. Scary only if you think women will come out of the woodwork making false claims.
When did I say she came out and made an intentional false claim. I never said that. I think I specifically said I think something did happen to her, perhaps your reading comprehension missed that.
My issue with the debacle is how this entire thing was turned into a circus partly due to trump, partly due to feinstein, and I feel sorry for the real abuse victims.
In your retirement years, must you camp out on every thread and try to stir things up on every thread? Bored with life much?
CoronitaParticipant.
CoronitaParticipant..I mean…let’s play devil’s advocate here…. what if, Ford has the wrong guy and it isn’t “100%”…
It seems like even before the testimony or proof or anything , many Democrats already made up their mind to believe Ford…
Isn’t that sort of scary? I mean I thought the way it works here is there is a presumption of innocence.
And then there’s Rachelle Michell. 25 years of prosecuting sex crimes…And people now suggesting she is a partisian hack because of her report…. Really?
CoronitaParticipantAMD market share at 65% in September. lol…
https://hothardware.com/news/intel-chip-supply-woes-amd-ryzen-sales-september-etailer
The numbers for September are in, and they represent a huge spike in market share for AMD. For the month, AMD’s share rose to 65 percent, which is an incredible month-over-month rise. Looking closer at the numbers, we can see that the new 12nm Pinnacle Ridge processors made up the bulk of AMD’s sales

CoronitaParticipantI consider a blue wave would mean a slaughtering of the GOP in both the House and Senate. I don’t doubt the House might change, and that’s probably a good thing since we would have some checks and balances back in the federal government. But I don’t see a complete democrat landslide either. Maybe we mean different things by “wave”….
By that definition, we might have a purple “wave” run through California with the Democrats losing a supermajority, especially with a lot of the independents frustrated with things here….that too would be a good thing, because again we would have some system of checks and balances.
CoronitaParticipantYes, Intel delays icelake, another foobar….
https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/ice-lake-for-mainstream-delayed-to-2020.html
CoronitaParticipant….so….
https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/24/politics/republican-party-favorability/index.html
if there is a large blue wave coming, how come, as reported by CNN, the gallop poll is saying GOP holds a 45% favorability rating and Democrats hold a 44%?
I would think if there is a large blue wave that it wouldn’t look this way. I still say the average American thinks the economy is better and that is the most important thing.
what I am more interested in is in CA…do we finally have enough independents frustrated that they will swing vote and break the super majority. I think so, but we will see.
