CoronitaParticipantWow. Trump adminstration just restricted entry for Chinese visas holders and imposed a mandatory 14 day quarantine for people coming from affected region.
I don’t like him as a person but he’s got this one right
CoronitaParticipantand yet no widespread infection outside of China.
CoronitaParticipantit doesn’t matter how many people die (from an economic perspective. From human life perspective, it’s sad) what matters is how many people are staying home and not either spending or making money. Also, I suspect the reason why this thing spreads is because of population density, which is why US or North America for that matter is safe.
US haters gotta hate though.
CoronitaParticipantSo far, the virus doesn’t seem to making that much of an impact on the US markets as we saw some volatility going down then up , even now that WHO declared an emergency beyond the initial panic. Me thinks just like SARS, it’s probably.notngoing to be that big an issue in US.
But this is going to be a really big problem within China. Look at all the infected cases already.
CoronitaParticipantAmazon beat and raises guidance.
All is well
CoronitaParticipant…and if course….what a timely published article… Why some wild animals like bats are not meant to be eaten…
https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/29/health/bats-viruses-coronavirus-scn/index.html
That pesky thing called science.
Dr Stathis Giotis, a virologist at the Department of Infectious Disease at Imperial College in London. “Bats are recognized as important reservoirs for emerging and re-emerging viruses with zoonotic potential.”
Folks comparing eatting wild fish to wild bats…..it’s ok, apology accepted…..
CoronitaParticipantLol… In Korea, “No Chinese Allowed”.
Asians are the most racist against each other when it comes down to self preservation n ..
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-01-30/fear-in-the-age-of-coronavirus-chinese-no-longer-welcome?srnd=premiumPretty funny. But I still have to say, Air China still tops the list for what they published in their in flight magazine in 2016….
CoronitaParticipantTesla also beat expectations. awesome..
CoronitaParticipant… and I knew this company would do well. damn I wish I invested in them when when they just went public.

Outlook good too..
CoronitaParticipantBrian … I’m doing fine physically, thanks for asking…nothing money and proper healthcare and proactively being healthy can’t manage. And besides as all three of my doctor’s say, I’m in a lot better shape than others that think they are healthy but never has done any proactive screenings. those are the ones at higher risk of developing something in up until a late stage when it’s very different to treat. As with any condition, which everyone has (some just haven’t found their particular health issue. yet…) early detection, treatment, and awareness is critical. Being completely oblivious to what one has, on the other hand is the real killer. My grandpa is a perfect example of this. He was diagnosed with heptitis when he was 12-13 and his liver was really messed up. Doctor’s said he wouldn’t make it past 40. He took so damn well of himseld that outlived all of his other friends all the way to age 99 approximately. I said approximately because he kept telling us each year his birthday was 95 a few times such that we lost count, so it was at least 4-5 times… And he lived a fulfilling life, all the way to being vice-mayor of Taipei for a few years before he retired. I suspect he probably smoked opium at some point in his life, lol. It’s amazing what people can do if confronted with adversity they don’t adopt a loser mentality and put their energy into overcoming whatever limitations they have.
Furthermore, I thought about this. And conclusively I’d rather have a physical health issue that otherwise is manageable than some mental issues that is borderline socialpathic, to constantly wish for others to suffer or wish for something bad to happen to people one disagrees with, coupled with an addiction to a specific blog about real estate for which one is compelled to constantly respond and get the last word in. Because I don’t think there is any modern medicine that can fix that issue if one does not want to acknowledge and seek help. Mental health and stability is much more critical as one ages, because if untreated could result in an extremely negative and depressive life that can actually significantly reduce life expectancy much more so than any physical ailment. Unfortunately though, most of our medical health options z particularly the free ones do not cover mental health treatment, particularly Medicare. So if untreated while one is younger, it could be prohibitively expensive to treat in later life stages where one generally finds onself underinsured.
There’s actually many studies recently that people who take social media too seriously and who cannot decouple their online persona from their real life have developed social and mental issues, and on some cases have an addiction worse than drugs and alcohol, and currently there is no treatment for it.
Here you go Brian, it might be useful.

And unlike you Brian, (which I indicated you would do- wish evil on people you don’t like, as once again proven here) , I do feel sorry for you and hope you seek help sooner versus later. Because your life is just as important as everyone else’s.
But tonight I will pray for your well being and being and for you to find your zen. Peace 🙂
CoronitaParticipantFed left rates unchanged… Goosing the markets, lol.
CoronitaParticipantI am pretty confident that if I was president of the US.
1. the country would be screwed
2. even though I find your viewpoints downright outrageous and mockable, I would have no desire to disenfranchise you or supress your viewpoint. However, I am also pretty confident that if you were president
1. we would be equally screwed
2. you would do everything you could to supress my viewpoints and disenfranchise me…I assumed this based on all of your prior posts on this board, of the persona you represent on this board if it is a direct reflection of how you are in real life. On the other hand, it could be very well that you are completely the opposite in real life, and then my assumption would only apply to your internet stage persona and not how you are in real life….as often who we are on the internet may not actually reflect who we are in real life.hence the term “keyboard warrior”.
But fortunately for the US, neither of us will end up the president. so the US is safe.
CoronitaParticipant
LOL they are no longer a socialist country.
They are not a “woke” country sorry to disappoint you LOL
Go look up fascism,
From the all the posts here, imho Brian would be perfectly happy with a fascist US government provided the agenda of a fascist government was exactly what he would want the government to do.
If a progressive leader could make all the policy changes in the US to the vision that Brian wants, he would be supportive of it and throw out the entire concept of democracy or rule of the people. It’s pretty obvious by his statements and viewpoints, and his unwavering and disdain for compromise. He literally thinks it’s an all win at all cost and nothing in between. If a fascist progressive leader here could take away all the voting power of the all the rural white people in southern conservative states that he strongly disagrees with, Brian would have no problem doing it, because he does not understand or care about the principles of our Founding Fathers so long as his ideology wins (hence my reference to the win at all cost). He would essentially make an excuse and say, well those people are ignorant and should not be allowed to vote anyway. And would conveniently make an excuse that well, since conservatives in the past have tried to disenfranchise african americans, what’s wrong with a policy to do this to old rural white people. This sort of people who seek absolute power and absolute control often hides under the guise and falseness of doing things “for the greater good”…. Hitler and Mussolini and Stalin did the same thing. So did Chairman Mao. Many progressives would share and do the exact same thing. And this sort of thinking, regardless if you agree with it’s agenda or not, undermines our Founding Father’s democratic principles. It’s pretty obvious. Why else for this unusual admiration for the PRC’s heavy handed power.
This is why no single party should ever be given absolute power. Our country was founded always about compromise and the inclusive of all viewpoint,s with majority rule being the guiding principle. Unfortunately, that means that fringy people are often underrepresented, but if you think about it, that’s the fairest thing because the majority of the people arent the fringy people….Unfortunately, it appears that fringy people on both sides are both trying to represent the rest of us…and therefore, no one will really be happy and we’ll continuously thrash back and forth between two polar viewpoints every 4-8 years and not move forward.
Why it takes a second generation american born chinese to explain this is beyond me. It seems pretty obvious.
And this is why, Brian, frankly you’re living in the wrong country and wrong continent. You will never be happy here because the fascist government you dream of will never happen in the US. Sorry to disappoint you. You’re in for a decades of disappointment.
