http://www.moldmutts.net/No affiliation, haven’t used them, but it sounds like a job that a well-trained dog could be good at.
They are using dogs to sniff out cancer in people so this seems like it would be an easy one for dogs.
Have to agree with you on this one 100%.

CDMA ENGParticipant
just curious, what kind of mildew problem are you having?
Did you identify the source of moisture already?
No. That’s part of the problem. I am feeling that the home inspector didn’t catch this and it could be a major problem. Its not a visible source and the mildew smell is just terrible.
With a new kid in the house it is a major concern… Not to mention the cost.

Does this mean that mini-CE is here? If so, congratulations!!! 🙂
Hope you (and/or your wife) get some more sleep. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you might want to read this book:
“On Becoming Baby Wise: Giving Your Infant the GIFT of Nighttime Sleep”
After seeing the incredible results with our friends’ kids, we followed it ourselves. All three of our kids were basically sleeping through the night (6-8 hours, or more) by 12 weeks, and they were all waking up and entertaining themselves for a bit more. Not one of them would wake up screaming or crying…I’d usually hear them singing or making fun noises when they’d wake up.
Have tons of fun! This time is stressful, but you will miss it when it’s gone.
Yes there is a mini-me…
And he is wonderful even when he is screaming… It doesnt bother me in the least…

You’re probably referring to the lack of “find” in the tag line. We had a lot of internal debate about leaving it out as we aspire to be a lot more than just a real estate search app.
Have you tried the app out? We’d love to get your feedback on it.
(your comment made us chuckle – thanks!)
Well, I don’t have a smartphone and I don’t really want one so I won’t be testing an app. Secondly, I’m suddenly out of the housing market and tired of looking. Yay.
Also, I understand why you thought of leaving out the “find” but the result is awkward. It doesn’t work for me as a catch-phrase. It makes no sense. I don’t think it is because I’m old. I think a young person would say “huh” as well.
Maybe you should drop a “?” in there. Or roll through a bunch of words – like “find” “love” “buy” “obsess over” “locate” “surf” “view” “visit” “move into” to get the impression that you can do more than just find.
“The smart and fun way to your own house”
just … I don’t get it.
Fypio…
Just so you get a chuckle out of the above in bold… SDDuuuude has spent his life working in cellular networks…
Of course it is always the house painter whose house is always in the most desperate need of paint!

hmmm… Wish that were true. I think most of the ppl here are moderates. Including myself… and you are indeed very right of center… So… no..

CDMA ENGParticipant
I agree with you that my actions were offensive, selfish, malicious, intrusive, and very immature. They could have created a dangerous situation for this innocent family.
This behavior is completely the opposite of how I normally am and was caused by some extraordinary circumstances. As soon as the circumstance ended, I was able to think clearly, realized what I was doing and how wrong it was, and immediately stopped.
I wrote the family a 3 page letter expressing how sorry I was for my behavior and the impact it had on them. I insisted on paying all of their out of pocket costs up front. I wanted to do more to make amends, but at that point it was all I could do.
I have already received very serious consequences (public humiliation, termination, astronomical attorney costs, and 2 years of absolute terror from the legal process). Please don’t interpret this as whining or complaining….I accept that my actions warranted significant consequences. I just want to point out that experiencing dismay about my behavior (to the point of being suicidal) and receiving punishment occurs long before being sentenced. I truly wish I could be whipped in the public square (like the old days) so I could have a punishment that would only affect me. The only thing prison would do is to deprive my terminally ill husband and disabled daughter from their only caretaker.
I appreciate your giving me a chance to explain. And I realize there is no explanation that would make my behavior acceptable. It’s even difficult for my behavior to be understandable unless you experienced the circumstances I did which were the underlying cause of my actions.
Thank you.
Kathy
There is no way this is KR. If it is I suggest you fire your current lawyer and STFU for your own benefit as I am sure all of this will be used against you in a court of law.

CDMA ENGParticipantBTW the house I was referring too was just rented, got a call from my land lord this morning, between 2400 and 2500 dollars. It is a 3 / 2 with decent upgrades.
Regards.

CDMA ENGParticipantClairemont is just a good place to be period. You just have to accept that it is a bit behind the times when it comes to the housing.
The one thing no one has brought up is the schools. I have no idea but I was under the impression that they were not that good so that maybe a discussion point that needs to be brought up.
For the record the house I rented had two prong outlets. I said deal breaker and the landlord said “if I have that fixed will you rent it?”. I said yes. New outlets were installed and I was curious so I opened one. The ground was tied to common. Not sure if it was code or not but I was satisfied with it as there was no alternative path to ground.
The above is not to start another spirited debate… Just an observance.

CDMA ENGParticipant

Allan the participation trophy is the downfall of society… though it is a perfect description of what is desired by many these days.
While the participation trophy is relatively new, I don’t know that it any worse than what goes on with kids who are somehow connected to the coaching staff or well connected socially to the organization sponsoring the team. Anyone else see
kids who somehow made the team or got some kind of award they didn’t seem to deserve? I ask cause my 12 year old son was part of a summer basketball program and the assistant coach’s son was named MVP. The whole team of 12 year olds began muttering “but he didn’t do ANYTHING” when it was announced. I gave my son a hard look and the keep quiet sign and later said to him “welcome to the world of grown ups”.
The participation trophy has been around quite some time.
I remember getting one in 8th grade for Rec Level soccer and was totally confused by it. We lost every single game but one… The one… We drew…
We were terrible and I couldn’t imagine why I had even gotten it.
Kids today know exactly why they are getting one… At the time I did not.
This was roughly 30 plus years ago…
