ParticipantWho is coming up with this getting married in a church distinction? There are straight people who weren’t married in a church. I was married on the beach by some state licensed marriage performer with no church affiliation that I know of.

However, I have heard from people who live in Temecula things like, “we’d love to live on the coast but we just couldn’t afford it.” Closer to the truth is that they can afford it; they just don’t like the type of house (or townhouse) it would be, so they accept the compromises for the house.
