ParticipantThere isn’t going to be a huge difference in schools between La Costa Valley area and Leucadia. Ultimately you’ll attend the same Jr. High and High School. Capri can be a challenge, however several Capri kids are attending TIPS Academy if you find that the school is too rough. Most of the folks that I deal with who have kids at Capri seem to like the school. A few don’t and send their kids elsewhere.

ParticipantI had to run over to Kaiser for an X-ray Sat. and was a little early so I drove around DH for a little while, it wasn’t bad. On the way home I took the new Twin Oaks Valley road, and the drive through SEH is a bit slow. However it is impressive the view of the ocean you have from up there. Since moving here three years ago SEH is the only development I’ve visited since in my mind most new developments aren’t that appealing because of HOA/Mello Roos. I did like those views though.
DH is more established and like Bugs said more convenient.
In the end I think it just makes my commute to UTC too difficult.

ParticipantI was once stationed at Dyess AFB, and I met my girlfriend and future wife while there. At the end of the war my best friend, and roommate came back from Turkey, and since so many troops were returning the base threw a giant party. Beer trucks with endless kegs, civilians allowed to walk about the place, and Domino’s Pizza was there serving everyone. They threw the boxes out, but my wife as a hungry college student was quite familiar with Domino’s policy at the time of collecting dots (the flap on the front of the box), because 5 dots meant a free pizza.
So our take on rummaging around that day was around 80 dots. Rather than be obvious and tip off Domino’s we usually bought a pie, and used the dots to get a second one free.
