I am heavily involved in coaching youth sports as well working with some hitters in HS and college. So I can’t spend that extra 1 hour a day on the road. I generally come in 7:30 take off at 4:30 and if I have to work late I do it at the house later in the evening. (Knock on wood). Because of the extra bus ride from Sorrento to the office I just can’t afford the extra time.
I drive a Chevy Impala as I am strictly a GM guy, but I’ll watch their hybrid trucks.
In any case our situations are different because for me it’s not subsidized. So $9-10/day for added to 1 solid extra hour of commute time doesn’t pencil out.
I heard Coaster Fees at least from Encinitas might be going up another dollar. With the fact that it takes twice and long and costs more, than driving I’ll have to pass. In my case we jump off at Sorrento Valley and shuttle to work. Again that is just my basic experience.
