I remember one Saturday morning after a Friday of, oh… let’s say heavy drinking of mind-altering beverages, the sellers agent decided to show the property at 8am without prior notice. I stumbled to the door in my boxers, and apparently some junk was hanging out because the potential buyers said, “uhhhh…. We’ll come back later.”
They never came back.
I’m guessing based on your post that your friend may not have the junk-hanging-out-of-boxers technique at her disposal, but perhaps her gender’s analog could be deployed to great effect.
Kidding aside, I just printed out a copy of the renter’s rights and gave it to my landlord and told her to stop being a tool. She obliged, but I’m wondering if it’s because she was collecting the rent in cash and not claiming it as income, and was afraid that Obama was going to come and steal her money and give it to the Muslims. Oh wait, that was 8 years ago, never mind, I’m getting my conspiracy theories mixed up.
