This is entertaining: “CBS News host Norah O’Donnell on Tuesday called out Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel for telling Attorney General Eric Holder to “shut the fuck up” about reinstating the assault weapons ban when both men worked for President Barack Obama’s administration in 2009.”
AecetiaParticipantI totally agree re Soto’s heroic act. Selfless disregard for her own safety and fearless in the face of evil.
AecetiaParticipant“WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A gun found at the scene of a shootout between a Mexican drug cartel and soldiers where a beauty queen died was part of the botched “Fast and Furious” operation, CBS News reports.
Authorities had said that Maria Susana Flores Gamez was likely used as a human shield and that an automatic rifle had been found near her body after the Nov. 23 shootout.”AecetiaParticipantHere is a list of school violence related to psych. meds:
AecetiaParticipantRegarding gun control- that genie is not going back into the bottle. “The prospect of a renewed assault weapons ban in the wake of the Connecticut school massacre has set of a round of buying, as thousands of Americans head to their local gun store to secure the popular AR-15 — the model used by the school gunman — before potential government prohibitions on their purchase.”

“Venezuela recently entered a deal giving them the license to produce the current AK-103 rifle. Venezuela currently is the largest user of the Russian AK-103 rifle with around 100,000 rifles being used by all branches of their military.”

AecetiaParticipantWe definitely need to make many changes in spending. I think maintaining the military in Germany and Japan is too costly. I am sure AFF will chime in here and tell me why I am wrong. I feel that something has to give and I would prefer the troops be used elsewhere. Here is a link to a very long essay on US “Global Leadership: “There are several alternatives to global leadership, including greater reliance on regional security organizations and the creation of spheres of influence or regional balance-of-power arrangements. The United States would then act as a balancer of last resort. Such a strategy would preserve U.S. security without the costs and risks of an unrealistic crusade to lead the world.”
AecetiaParticipant“A heckler openly mocked shoppers at an Oceanside, California Best Buy as they waited for Black Friday deals. The man can be heard shouting ‘you zombies are the reason Thanksgiving and the holidays are being destroyed’ and other anti-Black Friday comments as shoppers filed in the store.”

Some of the comments are priceless.

AecetiaParticipantBearish,
I think the .99 store has some pretty good buys in food and cleaning supplies. I also like that the canned food that is a brand name. It might be a smaller size, but sometimes smaller is better for me. Some of the stores are kind of cramped and in the corner of the shopping centers, but I think it is worth saving money for other things, especially with the increasing price of many other items. Target food is also worth checking out.
AecetiaParticipantSave the Twinkie: A “talk show host has started an online campaign to prevent the perishing of the notoriously nonperishable spongy snack, which she calls a “golden symbol of the American dream” in her first pro-Twinkie PSA.”
November 10, 2012 at 7:08 PM in reply to: Corrupt Government Officials Should Be In Jail … Alongside Corrupt Banksters #754331AecetiaParticipant“This week financial news organization CNBC gave some mainstream attention to the largest money laundering and racketeering lawsuit in United States History, in which “Banksters” and their U.S. racketeering partners are being accused of laundering of 43 trillion dollars worth of ill gotten gains. The lawsuit is said to involve officials located in the highest offices of government and the financial sector.”
It is an interesting list of “alleged conspirators.”
AecetiaParticipantSure you do.”I don’t like conspiracy theories, I may be totally wrong, but the timing of this, again, right after the election and right before Petraeus is supposed to get grilled on Capitol Hill, it’s really smells.”

More change, less hope as we go forward.
