ParticipantVery entertaining! akx114, svelte, and davelj …spot on!
This is not comedy. It’s called satire and it’s full of irony, but you only understand that if you’ve been round the block a couple of times I guess.
“…it really is a shame that it takes a comedy show to call these guys out.” Yeah, but that’s what these guys do. It’s their job and they’re a vital cog in the chain.
“I’m losing faith in the citizens of my country.” Well, that’s probably because the snake oil industry is being dragged, kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
“Would you not agree that when one manages other’s assets that they have a fiduciary responsibility to behave ethically, morally and legally?” This is the point really. Yes, in an ideal world, but corporations only pays lip service to the “duty” because it creates a conflict of interest. As long as they are seen to be doing the right thing, that covers their asses.
“If you think this is corruption, you might want to look at some of the things that goes on in other countries.” We’re not looking at other countries, we’re looking at what goes on in the US. For all it’s trumpeting, don’t you think it should be setting an example.
“…it’s about Cramer because Stewart wants ratings.” So what! If it took an elephant to sit on you to acknowledge there’s cancer …I’d watch it.
“Stewart got him on the show to humiliate him, and he did it.” I very much doubt Cramer was unaware that he was going to be the mark.

ParticipantArraya, you make the point well. However, I would substitute, or rather add “running the country” with “owning the country”.
