The government can shut down 75 websites just like that — no court order, ect. — but can’t keep a lid on this guy?
Finding it a little hard to swallow.
Do the leaks hurt anyone politically? If so, maybe they were allowed to leak?
As for the bank, am I alone in hoping it is BofA?

November 30, 2010 at 7:50 PM #634374AnonymousGuestThe US government can shut down US based websites.
The rest of the world…not so easy.
Wikileaks is not one guy. It’s an organization that is pretty sophisticated with technology. No doubt they anticipated denial of service attacks and other such threats and prepared for them long ago.
They’re probably at least as good with tech as any US intelligence agency.
This is not really that fantastic a claim. Government doesn’t attract our best and brightest anymore, especially when it comes to to computer technology.
The public believes the military/government has an extraordinary technology reach because of Hollywood depictions – shows like “24.” The reality is much less impressive.
