What we’d really like to find is an area in North County that isn’t so tract-like. I’m getting tired of accidently driving past my own house when I come home. I’ve yet to see anything that is nice and reasonably priced. Any ideas?
That’s easy, buy a tract home and spend $10k to remodel the front so it’ll look different than the rest. That’s the cheapest way. Else, you can always get yourself a custom home. That’s not going to be reasonably priced though.October 28, 2008 at 6:25 PM #294805anParticipant
What we’d really like to find is an area in North County that isn’t so tract-like. Any tract areas w/out HOAs?

If you look close, you can find’em. The only one I know of off the top of my head is Santa Fe Hills in San Marcos, but I’m sure there are others…how new does the house have to be?
