The fresh and easy store is basically on hold. I havent been by in a week or so, but mostly nothing has happened there in a few months. I am guessing they are trying to wait out any downturn and see how things are going. They have a liquior license posting in the window that had a question and comment period for sometime in March. Havnt seen anything since then. I wish it would open, but I am not holding my breath.

ParticipantI just noticed last week that they start remodeling the front of the place while driving on MM Blvd, that’s what got me curious. I’m not sure if it has been like that or what their status is, but some remodeling is still better than nothing, I guess.

There is no yelling match between Marion and davelj. It’s obvious Dave can’t be reasoned with.
In regards to the topic, it looks like the residents prevailed. They didn’t want a Walmart in their community and it didn’t happen. I don’t know the area, but I guess they don’t have a K-Mart either, same thing.
