For some reason I doubt the city manager of Sandy Springs makes anywhere near the approx. 400k the city manager of Temecula makes.
And now that the public employee unions have put Jerry Brown in office, things for those of us who work in the private sector can only get worse here in California.

Not as easy to say, “I work for the private sector and receive NO benefits from the public sector,” as one might think. I’ll bet that if we dig around enough, we’ll find that almost everyone is the recipient of taxpayer dollars at some level.
We won’t even get into the details of the taxpayer-funded physical, legal, and social infrastructure that enables everyone else to focus on work instead of having to focus on survival. Then there are the benefits received from having our taxpayer-funded military keep sea lanes open and protect us from those who would gladly take our resources if we weren’t protected. They enforce embargoes against our “enemies,” too (and our businesses often benefit greatly as a result). Of course, we’ve all benefitted from the cheap oil, courtesy of the taxpayers…but nobody ever admits to all the benefits THEY receive from the govt. It’s always “somebody else” who is the parasite.

Apparently you don’t work in the private sector.
