ParticipantI refied last year using Sheldon (HLS here on piggington.) It went pretty fast despite snafu’s with the lender kicking back the appraisal.

ParticipantI recently refi’d a small property with a 10-year fully-amortizing note at 4.75% fixed, no points and no closing costs. No major issues and it took about 6 weeks, which I thought was reasonable considering that it overlapped with the holidays and year end. The only trick was that it had to be 65% LTV or less.
I don’t think refi’s are taking nearly as long today – nothing like they were in early- to mid-2009.
