PS, I’m with you on the politics. I tried to refrain from posting because war and politics are so controversial and brings out the worst of everybody.
I want to offer you my support for your voice of reason. I just feel sad about the state of current affairs for I remember a time when America was viewed as the beacon of liberty around the world. I’m afraid that America is slowly turning into a theocracy.
By fighting the Communists in Vietnam, we lost treasure and countless human lives. By engaging Vietnam now, and promoting business and cultural contacts, we are benefiting the people of both countries. To me, that is the lesson to be learned from history.
I think that people would feel differently about the Iraq war if we still had the draft and their children were at risk of being called to war.
PS, let time be the judge. I’m confident that the voice of reason will prevail.

Hardly anywhere near full force, and done without insulting any champions of the liberal or anti-war movements, without any insinuation of lesser mental faculty in these people or those who agree with them.
PD, you said the following: “China is a warlike giant. Chinese people believe themselves to be superior to all other races.” I would recommend that you tone down your rhetoric on this website, because this kind of comment could easily be construed as racism. Moreover, I don’t understand your point about the Mexican War. The Mexican War of 1846-48 could easily have been avoided if cooler heads had prevailed. The same applies to the Spanish-American War of 1898. Please realize that dissent is patriotic, and I love the USA just as much as you. But your unbridled, overly emotional brand of patriotism appears to have clouded both your vision and your judgment. Not every war had to be fought, OK? World War II was an absolute necessity, but many other wars could have been avoided. Now, let’s get back to talking about real estate, which is the purpose of this website. Thank you.
