Its all of a piece with Brian’s general bigotry (and thank God Breivik wasn’t FAT)
Aren’t we, on this blog, all bigots towards those who are irresponsible.
Financial irresponsibility is one thing. But irresponsibility towards one’s own body and health is much worse, IMO.

and his specific bigotry when it comes to Christianity. If memory serves, your slash was against religion generally, and I actually agree with that.
I think that our country is bigoted against those of us who don’t believe in God.
I do have a problem with the incessant Christian agenda in this country. My beef is with religion is general. I focus more on Christianity because it’s the dominant religion.

Because we are biased towards those who don’t share our religion.
I was listening earlier to kpbs radio and a reporter was taking about Islamic terrorists vs. terrorists on the right. Religious terrorists are all terrorists on the right.

July 26, 2011 at 2:01 PM #713055bubba99Participant
Just for the record, I don’t think I would go so far as to call this “Christian terrorism.” In fact, I don’t believe there can be any such thing, as the tenets of Christianity (I’m Roman Catholic, for the record) are diametrically opposed to terrorism. Take a look at the Sermon on the Mount (blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth, etc.) – considered by Christians to be almost on a par with the Ten Commandments. Something about Muslim immigration got this guy going, but that doesn’t make him a “Christian terrorist.”
Also, the fact that one crazy person found inspiration in the ramblings of another crazy person (the Unabomber) is not surprising, any more than the fact that there are crazy Americans that idolize Hitler (for reasons that I’ll never understand).
The only thing this all proves is that crazy people can do horrible things. Period.
Do the Crusades ring a bell?
How about the Inquisition?
