If I really wanted to conform, start a beautiful family and live in the suburbs, I’d marry a foreigner with an advanced degree. Someone who’s not too Americanized but speaks English beautifully and knows American culture.

I might have a child with my wife, but I’d want to adopt an orphan from Haiti or Somalia.

I think that I’d want to live in Honolulu for the relaxed lifestyle, great weather, and diversity of culture. But I’d want to spend part of the year in my wife’s home country so the kids could learn the language.

Of course, the kids would be groomed to attend top American universities.

I’m sorry, briansd1, but this post sounds like you’re planning on ordering this hypothetical woman from a catalog. Kind of like the American Girl catalog, but I suppose yours would be called Foreign Wife (“includes grooming kit for future children”).
