allen: I’ve only read his work on voter fraud issues which, IMO is pretty good investigative journalism. I know of his peak oil stance which is sadly common or some variation thereof with most “non-establishment” journalism types. IMO, the “establishment” pays attention a little more than they let on about peak oil and so should the journalists.
Here is an open letter to Palast regarding PO.

“Dear Greg,
Congratulations on your new book, Armed Madhouse. As with your previous work, I admire your dedication in exposing the machinations of government and corporate miscreants.
However, this time around you’ve also taken a potshot at a target that I happen to know a good deal about and have been closely involved with for a few years—the efforts by a growing number of analysts to forecast the arrival, and prepare the world for the consequences, of Peak Oil. In this instance I think your negative comments about Peak Oil and those of us who study it are not well informed.”Interesting indeed!

The must be growing the good stuff in Cali again from what I read here. Like someone said earlier fivethirtyeight has McCain’s chances at 1.9%, that’s not close. Of course they should be preparing to take over and picking a cabinet. It is going to be tough cleaning up after the devastation of the last eight years so there is no time like the present.[/quote]
Xironman, I am smoking a joint called “reality”. You should try it sometime 😉
You are relying on fivethirtyeight which is in turn relying on flawed polling data. Since flawed data doesn’t seem to perturb you, I am sure you feel quite comfortable in an Obama landslide.
But don’t count on it.
McCain’s chances are not greater than Obama’s, but they are MUCh higher than 1.9%.
