Even with universal health care, illegals will live under the existing status quo — they will go to the emergency rooms.
captcha, the above is what I said.
Illegals don’t have access to health care now, unless they go the the emergency room or pay out of pocket. That will not change with any kind of health care reform.
The illegal immigrant issue is no reason to block health care reform (which would not give any rights to illegals).

I agree with air-ogi and I agree with you now. However, if the democrats want us to have a righteous system let them come out and say it now too…then let the Republicans shoot that down openly.Dust settles where it may. I don’t trust your party enough to say “lets do bad policy because it will work out in the long run”. No way.
Russell, Rome wasn’t built in one day.
We didn’t get rid of racial segregation with one party in power declaring it over and legislating it away.
It took generations. Interestingly, the military is one of first institutions to implement color blind rules.
Universal health care will not be achieved in the first term of the Obama Administration and perhaps not even in the 2nd term.
Just like housing; you have to realistic.
You can’t afford your dream house right out of school. You have to make sacrifices and maybe, sometimes in the future, you’ll get your dream house. Chances are you’ll never own that dream house, but the journey enriches you and your family.
People who want all or nothing will likely end up with nothing, not even their pride.

Ah, I see. Eligible (legal residents) are covered and the ineligible are limited to the emergency system. The legal status is established at the time of insuring, not at the time the service is performed. The cost is reduced due to removal of part of the current flow from the emergency rooms.
