It appears conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh wants to be an NFL team owner.

In a statement released today, Limbaugh said he’s partnering with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the St. Louis Rams. Limbaugh didn’t go into details, but said he and Checketts “have made a bid to buy the Rams and are continuing the process.”

Back to the original topic of the Olympics. I was talking to my cousin in Ohio. Her husband (whom I think she should divorce) is a vociferous Republican engineer who’s been unemployed for several years. The longer he’s been unemployed, the more radical he’s become.

He was so happy to see Chicago lose the Olympic bid. He’s even happier that Chicago was kicked out in the first round of voting.

So much for a patriot. He wants our country to lose to inflict a defeat on Obama. Just lame.

I never supported the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, but I hope that we win for our own country’s sake.

On Afghanistan, I felt that getting rid of Taliban was enough. Bringing corrupt Karzai in and undertaking nation building was a big mistake.
