Finance flow both way. Do you also disclose all of your financial info to him? Like DWCAP said, finance is a source of ego for a lot of guys, so it might help him open up more about his finance if you make him feel that his ego won’t get shatter when he reveal to you the skeletons in his closet.

The fact that he is paying child support is a huge red flag. In my opinion, anyone with kids is off limits. His child/children should be his first priority, above any girlfriend/wife. Did you know that he had children? Not sound harsh, just looking from the outside in.
Just remember that there are LOTS of fish in the sea.
