I like Coronado. It’s flat so you can easily bike. And it’s close to Downtown and the airport.
If you’re retired, you can easily drive downtown for dinner and be back home in no time at all. Or take the ferry across the bay and walk to Seaport Village.
If you’re retired, you’ll likely have friends and family visit. They can take the taxi to your house easily. And if they want to play tourists, they can easily go on their own without you having to play driver and tourist guide.

Its serene and when you live there you really don’t feel isolated. Its draw back is you have to do your mega shopping elsewhere; easy to accomplish. Very much a community feeling there. Zero rat race = perfect for my idea of retirement. Golf too.
