Having dealt with enough dishonest landlords who will stoop so low as to keep hundreds of dollars of money they don’t deserve from a young family who barely has enough cash to eat, I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for the “deposit is not rent” argument.

I treat their property better than if it was my own. I do no damage. I’m not having another freaking landlord rob me of my deposit.

Period.
