ParticipantOnce I nearly ran into bees which were occupying a tree at the corner. The city removed it within a couple of hours. I believe it was animal control.

Participantunless those guys are committed lovers/married, I would not suggest they get an apartment together – especially if its a one bedroom.
yes, they should live in or at least be familiar with the location they intend to buy in.
if they moved here in March, what is prompting them to want to move again about a month later

ParticipantAgree with UCGal’s assertion: stay in Mira Mesa!
If you want more space, you could also rent a room in a house. Those tend to be cheaper than apartments sometimes, depending on your local.
But plenty of places on Craigslist.
And I preferred it over hotpad just due to its versatility.
