ParticipantOx – In the article you linked there was one that was affordable – Tony Curtis’ islands in Nova Scotia. Only 245k (canadian $). That’s way less than an Escondido avocado ranch. LOL.

Participant
U-6 is 16%
What does that mean?
From the BLS website
U6 is Total unemployed, plus all marginally attached workers, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all marginally attached workers. Many, myself included, consider this a more accurate number than the U-3 number that is reported as the “official” unemployment rate. 16% of people are unemployed or working part time when they want to work full time.

ParticipantScarlet –
I’ve stayed out of this thread because I’m not that interested in who Jeff Bridges pimps for. Nor am I interested in the labels on cars – since it truly is a global economy when it comes to cars… parts from everywhere, “US” brands assembled in other countries, “foreign” brands assembled in the US.But I have to say – I’m taken aback by your obsession. There are several spots in this very long thread where you have 3-4 posts in a row – JUST YOU.
What are you hoping to accomplish by arguing loudly on a thread that you are contributing probably 70% of the posts?
Like I said, I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with the buy American thing. I just wonder what you’re hoping to accomplish and wonder who you’re trying to convince…
