What could the OP have done differently? How could he avoid this in the future? He was not told it was a sale to his agents family member for a flip. The agent was less than forthcoming.I agree with SDR and CAR that it needs to be pursued. I suggested through the relo company because they were injured more than the OP. But I don’t think dropping it and saying “lesson learned” is a good idea.
The licensing agencies can only protect consumers if bad acts are reported. Dropping it is leaving this agent out there with no blemishes, to rip off the next sucker.

ParticipantWe live in University City – so about 1-1.5 mile from the beach.
We have a 20-30 year old weber kettle charcoal grill. You know, the old school black grill that was common before propane and nat gas grills became the rage. It’s still going strong, no rust, indestructable.
It may not be as “instant” as the gas grills.. but the food tastes as good or better. My husband was given it, used, when a neighbor moved. This was in Philly. It has been left outside in the snow, rain, June Gloom…. No rust.

Participant
Izzat same store sales or gross sales ?
If you have 10 stores and close 2, then sell 10% less across all stores, each remaining store could show a higher same-store sales figure.
The WSJ article I read talked about same-store… but the costco press release talked about net sales.Either way – it was up.

Participant
How about documenting everything and submitting a complaint to the DRE?
http://dre.ca.gov/cons_complaint.html%5B/quote%5D
I think it’s better to report it to the corporate relo company.
Also – if the transaction was not in CA (it’s not clear it was CA) then reporting to CA’s DRE won’t do anything.
