You remember when In Cahoots used to be Confetti’s (as an added bonus, you remember Sunday nights was Piranha room)
You remember when Rich’s used to be The Metro (as an added bonus, you remember one night a week it was Shards of Glass)
I had to look up what it is today. They’ve changed so many times, but you remember Johnny V used to be Emerald City and before that Mannikin’s.
You remember The Tavern used to be the Daily Planet.
You remember there was a Red Onion in Mission Beach.
I’m sure there’s way more on that list. The way people drink, I’m surprised at the changes. How can you fail if you’re a bar? Maybe they were drinking the profits.[/quote]
You remember when the Casbah was even smaller on the other side of the street…
And when the Spirit club was one of the few places to see original music (vs cover bands). Now it’s brick by brick.
Metro… that brings back memories from the 80’s.
Remember Mother’s in PB? (I think Trader Joes is there now… could be wrong about the exact location on Garnet). How about Jose Murphy’s… where you could see members of almost any band jamming together on Sunday afternoons.
