Participant
Another awesome Photoshop clone tool disaster:

I wonder what they got rid of? Homeless encampment in the canyon perhaps? Mosquito infested cesspool? Dead hooker corpse?
I think they were trying to remove power/cable/phone lines.Looking at Redfin – and the different angles you can get, it looks like the power poles are actually in that canyon. And everyone’s homes are all hooked up to.

ParticipantBrian – since you have ties to Philly, you should look into the organization Philabundance.
They do a phenomenal job of helping those who are short on food -with emphasis on fresh produce etc. We used to bring our extra garden produce (you know – the hundreds of extra zuchinni’s every ends up with because they plant too many plants.) to the Germantown Unitarian church (on Lincoln Drive) to go to Philabundance. A friend’s brother drives a truck for them – picking up extra food ingredients from various restaurants.
It’s a good organization – and their emphasis on whole foods whenever possible should appeal to your values.

ParticipantThank you SDR and Rustico –
You reminded me to give back. Just made 2 donations – one to Father Joe’s village, one to the San Diego food bank.I appreciate the reminder. I feel fortunate not to need their services and this was a good reminder to donate.

ParticipantYou do understand that you are required to pay duty on them when you bring them back across the border.
Back in the day, my dad used to get autobody and auto upholstery work done in TJ. He was totally busted when he was driving his car back across the border and the US Customs agent smelled the fresh paint. His savings were wiped out in duty costs.
I’m not saying it may not be cheaper to buy them there- but be prepared to pay import duty. When they ask “anything to declare” they mean more than drugs and illegals.
