ParticipantFor those playing at home that want to see for themselves…
– Get the APN number from sdlookup or redfin.
– Plug the APN into the billpayer field in the prop tax database to get either the seller or buyer (if it’s a recent transaction, it could be the seller still.)
https://www.sdctreastax.com/ebpp3/%285x2gtq45rtl4ecm3cthnrx55%29/Start.Aspx
– Take that name (in this case Utopia Realty Advisors) and plug it into a grant deed search on the recorders website
http://arcc.co.san-diego.ca.us/services/grantorgrantee/search.aspx
– And to look up the owners of the LLC – use the S.o.S’s corporate website.
http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/cbs.aspxSorry I was late to this thread… just got back from a long vacation and jet lag is still a factor.

ParticipantMotorola had a shareholder vote about executive compensation at a time they were losing money and had 2 ceo’s, one of whom was topping the highest paid CEO lists. Shareholders voted against the compensation… but it was an advisory vote… no weight/power behind it. The board learned the lesson… don’t put it to shareholder vote.
The company has since split… I see that one of the 2 ceo’s is on the list (Greg Brown)… The other, Sanjay Jha is not on the list, which surprises me… he had a HUGE payout when the company split this year.
There’s a problem with the disparity between non-exec workers and the salaries in the c-suite.

Participant

One of my favorite “what were they thinking” houses from my neighborhood is for sale.
Most of the pictures are just fine… but the house itself is the problem. Who puts a doublewide trailer on your roof?
I’m not a fan of the mansard roof to start off with – but I guess it makes it easier to put a trailer on the roof.
My husband has joked about taking pictures of it and putting it in his portfolio… just to see if potential employers even look at his portfolio… because it’s that ridiculous.

Wow, they’re pretty proud of that house (price).
What is the purpose of having a roof like that? It’s definitely not attractive. Is it cheaper to build?
Which part… the shake tile mansard part that goes around the whole house… or the second story trailer looking roof?
Mansard roofs are supposed to evoke Paris… except in Paris they’re slate and on 3-5 story buildings. The way it was done here – (and on many houses in that development.. It’s a 70’s “look”. Like a lot of 70’s styles… it hasn’t held up well.UCGal
