ParticipantBy goodness your right, if your unemployed it’s not a recession, it’s a DEPRESSION!!!
OK now for my latest conspiracy theory .
In order to quell this latest OWS movement, look to see the economy suddenly start adding Jobs and the markets to recover in a big way.The-Shoveler

Participant

I just returned from a week in New Bern NC. What a friendly place. I don’t care for the weather though.
Holy cow, TemekuT, you are right! I thought I knew what “hot” was, moving from Temecula, but we found out quickly that combining “hot” with “humid” can make things miserable there! It’s great in the fall / winter / spring, but there are about 3-4 months in the summer that are tough!
People who rip TV because of the weather have obviously never lived in phoenix, pretty much anywhere close to Texas , the mid-west or most of the east coast.
Or pretty much anywhere other than coastal SD..
Personally I kind of liked living out of the “everything going to get wet every morning” zone.
But I can see the attraction to cooler summers as well.The-Shoveler
ParticipantI hear Qcom (at least if you read the industry rags) is a good company to work for although I have never asked a qcom minion what they think.
From what I have seen if you go into management make sure you keep your hands dirty (keep involved in the engineering) I have seen more than a few colleagues go into management then canned and not able to find work. Seems there really is an overabundance of middle type managers (so much for the go go biz school era of the nineties).
believe it or not there is a shortage of good engineers so that is where I would stay if I could.
Think about being an unemployed would you rather had been a Middle manager or engineer?
As for TV they do have a few Chip companies, but I really have never looked in TV so am not really sure what is available in the way of job’s.

ParticipantWe would get along just fine as neighbors WW , although the wife would probably get annoyed at the outdoor bucket thing,
I like visiting HOA area’s they look so well kept and all, but then I go home and live a normal life.The-Shoveler
ParticipantNot everyone who lives in TV works for a company based in TV,
Just as not everyone who lives in SD works for a company based in SD.
Just ask flu.

ParticipantHmm maybe that’s why the banks are reluctant to lend ?
but I think good times sdr good times.
Better make sure they are transferable. .

ParticipantBut on a brighter note,
Probably not true, but it’s nice to dream.

“It’s going to get much worse…there is no escape (ECRI)
”
Yes that was it.Flimsily == Weak (or something close to that)
( well in this case maybe collapses from within would have been better)I should clarify , Well I think we will at best have stagnate growth for 5 years at least, I used to think we could recover sooner but now I am convinced we are doing our best to keep our selves down. we don’t seem to want to recover for some strange reason.

Participant
I like meadowview the very best but my wife wasn’t into it.
Check it out– right by the mall 1/2 acre lots, kind of hidden.
Still cheap.

ParticipantMaybe I had it wrong, I was thinking that a lot of QCOM’s success was from their chip sets in the IPhone and IPad.
The Kindle fire will not have QCOM chip sets.

ParticipantVery tippy top in TV for me was mid 2004 to early 2007.
Just felt I had to clarify. Some areas in TV started to fall very fast from late 2007 to 2009.
