@$400/share AH, it’s a little too rich for my blood…
Does it really matter if it’s $400/share or $40/share? The market cap is still the same and stock moves with the same % anyways. So, with $400 stock, it’ll move in $ while the $40 stock, it probably would move in cents. Question is, do you believe $20.32B market cap is rich or not.
Well, I remember seeing it years back around $75/share or so, and even then I thought it was “expensive”…That’s why I can’t digest $400/share. Of course, we know because I’m not in, it’s really going to $500/share, and the moment I buy 1 share, it’s going to $250/share. Maybe i’ll do that, so the rest of you can short….
Yes, I am jealous. Because I remember 1 pigg here was deciding between buying facebook and ended up buying netflix, and during that time, I thinking that wasn’t a bad idea. But I don’t why I never did get any shares. She clearly made out like a fiend, and my props off to her…. But yeah, I’ll admit, I have sour grapes on this one…
I figure it this way, if I had bought it as 75 a share, they would have declared BK the next day so I saved All the netflix holders LOL.
YW
I hate the stock market LOL.The-Shoveler
ParticipantIf I were living in Japan,Germany, or Switzerland I think I would buy USA dollars, or USA farm land etc…
Silver is mostly a byproduct of copper mining.
Who knows why Golds goes up or down, it has very little practical value.

ParticipantTo me the real issue when it comes to Europe is “WHEN” will Greece exit the euro zone, and then who is next after that.
Seems like Greece has had enough with austerity, The IMF does not see it that way LOL.

ParticipantOur house has enough natural light where we never keep the lights on during the day. But my mothers much smaller condo has quite a few darker areas where we installed solar tubes, they really work great for otherwise closed off area’s with no windows.

ParticipantI am not keen on the chip biz,
I wonder if this is an attempt to take some of QCOM’s biz.
It’s the one thing that kind of worries me about south SD’s housing market, I see it as being overly dependent on QCOM.

Boomer are retiring and the millennials don’t seem to be interested in Blue collar work.

ParticipantI found it interesting that Lennar and KB both came out and said they were being squeezed by higher land and labor costs (basically saying they cannot afford to lower prices and may need to raise them).
This happening at a time when a lot the millennials will finally be looking to strike out on their own.
Commodities I think are being hit because of multiple reasons (unusually good crop yields and lower energy costs as well as slow down in china and Europe).
Will be an interesting year.The-Shoveler
ParticipantMustard greens,
They seem to be the new health craze super food.
I saw these for sale at the supermarket and had to laugh to keep from crying.
I spend about ¾ of my time in the yard trying to eradicate mustard plants LOL.The-Shoveler

ParticipantIf SkunkWorks does what they say they can do (and I think they can, SkunkWorks does not generally say something unless they really really mean it), Big Oil will become almost completely irrelevant over the next 20 years.
Enjoy the cheap Oil until then.

ParticipantI really like the new F-150, but I wish they still produced the ranger as well.
Don’t know why but I really don’t want to drive an oversized truck or car.
Too much hassle parking and finding enough space to change lanes etc…
And if you want to load it from the side you have to lift the load about 4.5′ to 5′“Well, gas is cheaper now :)”
Yea I think we scared the cr$p out of OPEC with our energy independence LOL.

Participant
Yes, Irvine is the definition of the burbs. But it has developed into its own as the most desirable job center of Orange County.
There’s an urbanization of the burbs going on. People are seeking town center like, more dense areas, rather than just bedroom communities. Those are perfect locations for ride/car sharing facilitated by apps.
Yep that pretty much describes “ALL” Socal Cities.
Start out as far off bedroom Burbs, then develop into Job centers, then large cities on their own.
BUT they almost all start out as far off burb’s.
With the possible exception of L.A. and San Fran, and SD.
They started because of their ports.
