I just love how folks who declare individuals that are here “without documentation” are not criminals. Explain, please, the existence of ICE on the yearly federal budget. Note that the “E” stands for “enforcement”, as in “law enforcement”. I guess we patrol borders and inspect cargo so that we can be sure that none of Apple’s patents are being abused by those damned furriners?

Immigration pressures and solutions exist in the socioecological and socioeconomical domains. Prohibition via physical or political means is counterproductive. Do China or Japan (or Iceland or El Salvador) have an “undocumented population” problem? If not, why?

The DoD spends a few bucks every so often underwriting global population trend studies. Some of you might be concerned to find that Islamic-influenced societal birth rates far surpass those of most EU, NA, RUS and Japan. Those Mexican Catholics with their love of popping anchor babies out could be the savior of the US way of life in 3-5 generations. Something to think about…

Thinking outside the box, the reason the ole USofA has been so powerful is not that we’re a country so much as an engine (or culture) of change. We’ve exhausted our energies with abstracts lately and are now sputtering. Do you think that a mere country is going to move into the vacuum that we’ve created? Not likely! Too many countries hitched their wagons to our star and are now as bad off (if not worse) than we, the USofA are.
