svelteParticipantJust as a side note: most every smug Prius owner that I know lives a kajillion miles from work. With my much shorter commute in my car that gets half the gas mileage of a Prius, I am actually using less natural resources than the Prius owner!
Maybe I should be smug, too!

svelteParticipantThat’s funny because I rarely engage in the media that you speak of. I can’t stand Hannity anymore since he is an unabashed apologist for GWB and mega dittos for Rush and his cheerleading for this administration.
But I love it how you use the same sad and tired retort that is used commonly as a defense for criticism of Clinton’s policies, “Well, Bush….”
Circular speak for “yes I am a Republican”.

svelteParticipantNote the footprint. ‘sold contingent with 72 hour clause’
Translation: we want you suckers to remove all your contingencies within 72 hours so we can get this house off our backs. Um… yeah, that will work in this market. NOT!
I think maybe you misinterpreted what this meant. This means the seller has already agreed to accept an offer from a buyer, but the seller included a clause saying they can renege on that agreement if they get a better offer from you. The seller just have to give the original buyer 72 hours notice (aka 72 hr clause).
Generally, this is done when the offer that they accepted was from a buyer who still has to sell their current house.
