svelteParticipantFrom her website:
“We have consultants working together to advise and assist you. Our professionals in your local area are familiar with the laws unique to California. They are specialists in finding the program that will work for you. And they will act quickly to make sure you don’t lose your home.”
I take this to mean her consultants will buy you a lock and chain so you can chain yourself to your house?
The odd thing is that Zillow shows her house as having sold on 5/14/2008 – did the bank already foreclose, and she’s just waiting for the eviction now?

svelteParticipant
I am also a registered Independent who has leaned Democratic since religion, personal and private information have become campaign topics. I remember when Tipper Gore tried pulling some of the stuff that religious nuts do and I didn’t like it then either.
I do get tired of hearing the current talking points about what Socialist Dems are when the bailout was bipartisan and McCain is talking about the government buying up all the bad mortgages; that made me sick to my stomach when I heard it during the debate.
Agreed about the Gores…I never did support him & her. I actually think Gore was more dangerous than Bush (whom I didn’t like from day 1).
Per the Republicans, maybe we should start paraphrasing Ron Reagan and say “we didn’t leave the Republican party, it left us!!!”
What many Republicans fail to point out when b*tching about how the bailout plan was supported by the Dems is this: yes, initially the Republicans were not on board, but they *jumped* on board when the bailout was raised from $700B to over $800B!!! I guess the bailout just wasn’t big enough for them initially!

svelteParticipantI just looked up one of the Flip This House stories I had read previously.
An example of what goes on: one of the flippers on FTH, Sam Leccima, staged entire flips and, in at least one case, staged the sale of the house (the “buyers” who appeared on TV never bought the house and turned out to be Sam’s buddies).
In addition, he didn’t even own many of the homes he pretended to flip!
Sam’s statement when confronted with the above?
“Ask anybody who works in television how a reality show is made and you’ll find that ours was a very typical approach”
