ParticipantPkman,
I’m going back to Riverwalk this weekend to take another look at the “Canopy Park” townhomes. Just wanted to see if you have closed yet and if you have other comments. Specifically, I would like to get some input about the traffic during rush hour within Santee until you reach 125. Thanks!

ParticipantYour observations are very much appreciated. I have to agree with you that for the money “Stoney Creek” is one of the best values in San Diego. You get a brandnew home in a fairly convenient location at a good price. We have looked around in other places such as Carmel Mountain (“Cypress Greens”) and Del Sur (“Mandolin”). Neither one was as good a value as the 2 developments in Santee.

ParticipantI agree, this is very bizzare. The previous owner bought this house in 2005 and apparently never lived there. He was probably trying to flip it. The asking price is very low if you look at the comps in this neighborhood. But the location is just terrible with a bridge in front of the house amplifying the noise from the cars.

ParticipantI agree with you, paying MR and high HOA doesn’t make sense unless you get something great in return. Unfortunately, most new developments in the SD area have these fees unless you go to a place like Santee.
