ParticipantI’m with Rustico on this one. Where is your responsibility on this? When you were giddy with equity how come you didnt offer to pay the bank more because you were paying less than full price for the asset when the banks gave money away and inflated the value of your property.

ParticipantFWIW, I dont disagree with Bugs that it is too big to bail out. However, that doesnt mean they wont try nor does it mean it wont be a mitigating factor that will lessen the carnage.

The government serves the people and the majority of people in this country own homes or want to buy homes. They do not want to see a housing meltdown. Right or wrong the government will intervene.
