ParticipantThats funny. Several months ago I mentioned an Oscar winning actor who bought in So Carlsbad but declined to disclose his name. Now it is out for the public domain. BTW, he bought in Encinitas (Olivenahin) and is still trying to unload the So Carlsbad he overpaid for 2 years ago.

ParticipantI like Encinitas Ranch also. Besides the fact that I can get there in about 5 minutes, its an easy track for a hack like me. Prices are reasonable and you can see the ocean from most holes.

ParticipantMost REO’s require buyers to prequalify with their lender. They dont require them to use their lender but they want to know the buyer is legit.
Everyone does it differently but here is how my friend (one of the top REO guys around does it as do most of the good ones). If there are multiple offers, the agent usually goes back and asks everyone to submit “their highest and best offer”. Then they pick the one they want.
