ParticipantI know lots of people there, most of whom can easily afford their home. I know plenty of people in Bressi most of whom cant afford their home. Do you want to live with the real deal or a bunch of stressed out poseurs? I would keep it. It’s a great neighborhood, well built homes (for tract homes that is), great location and lots of nice people live there (at least my friends are).

ParticipantCV is a great getaway if you would like to live a place that could be located in major metro in the US except it happens to be close to the beach. No personality whatsoever and as sterile as sterile gets.
Go North to Solana Beach, Cardiff and Encinitas and you are actually in Classic Southern California Beach towns with real unique vibes.

ParticipantPeak price was probably about $925,000. Early 2002 Price was around 600,000. 50% off peak would be about late 90’s purchase price with pre-move in upgrades and landscaping costs. If it hit that price, an investor could buy it with 20% down and would be cash flow positive on rental by several hundred dollars per month.
cashflow,
if it comes to pass, unfortunately it is not small.sdrealtor
