ParticipantWe are smart not to jump in right now in regards to Iran. Iran doesn’t even know exactly what is happening in Iran. The mullah’s regime would love it if Obama went “full retard” in his rhetoric, because it would be so easy to kill and silence Iranians who are committing treason by following the orders and wishes of another countries leader. Everything coming out of Lindsay Graham and McCain’s mouth reinforces my joy that neither are in the driver’s seat right now.
If a hawkish Repub had been elected and came out of the cage in January swinging and threatening Iran and calling it the “Axis of Evil” it would have given their leaders so much ammo during their election, helping their cause and we probably wouldn’t be seeing a hopeful new birth of Liberty in the Middle East.

ParticipantLast night I watched Sean Hannity and Ralph Reed, the former head of the Christian Coalition chanting the need and good of “enhanced interrogation”. After 9 years of hearing these two talk about values and especially how America is a Christian nation I just asked myself ‘What would Jesus do’?
These two “Christians”…what would good ole’ Jesus do? The hypocrisy is suffocating.

ParticipantZeitgeist, in my opinion your statement could not be anymore biased and hypocritical. You fear the rights of Americans are being quickly eroded in the name of emergency under Obama when we had habeas corpus suspended after 9/11 under Bush? How about a little unwarranted NSA domestic wiretapping for you? Give me a break? Power grabs? Where was your outrage and fear when real rights were being eroded?
Bush has freed an entire generation of women? Iraq is still an unfinished book and none of us have any idea how that country is going to play out in the next 10 to 15 years. I tell you what though you couldn’t pay a million f-ing dollars to live there for a year. I beg you to send your mother, a sister or close female friend over there and come back and let us all know how great and free they felt. You have no idea what you are talking about.
