Or July 4. Or the independence day of any other country in the world. Time to start a list of all the independence days of all the countries and start sending any one home wearing a flag of a different country on any of those days.
How about instituting a rule “No violence” on May 5. That would seem so much more logical than “No American Flags.” It is a sign of a school administration that has lost control of their kids, I’d guess.

ParticipantThat people consider such trivial things so important is unfathomable to me. If I were a parent, I would call for resignation, and cite the school dress code which likely doesn’t mention “no US flags on May 5.”
