ParticipantWe can now all look forward to a cleaner, greener California with gobs of green energy jobs for all. You’re Welcome.
Time will tell…
Place your bets ladies and gentlemen
So does AB32 prevent CA from importing?

Participant
SD Matt asked about AB 32
ARB shall prepare and approve a scoping plan for achieving the maximum technologically feasible and cost-effective reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from sources or categories of sources of greenhouse gases by 2020 (Health and Safety Code (HSC) §38561). The scoping plan, approved by the ARB Board December 12, 2008, provides the outline for actions to reduce greenhouse gases in California. The approved scoping plan indicates how these emission reductions will be achieved from significant greenhouse gas sources via regulations, market mechanisms and other actions.
Thanks patb. What’s sad is that I’ve asked BGIG four times for something like this.
Since I don’t speak legalese…is there something in this bill that prevents us from importing our coal-fired electricity from Arizona? That to me seems the most likely outcome.

ParticipantI voted third party and gave the vote to Brown. I think the Repubs need to put better candidates…not just people they think can win.
If two-faced candidates are necessary to win in CA then it indicates that we just need to give the Golden State another four years of healthy pandering to illegals/anti business legislation during a time of low employment. The public might just get it and go to the middle. But we’ll see.
Yes on Prop 19…I heard many good arguments on both sides but think we just need to try something different since what we’ve been doing for the last 20 years has amounted to squat-diddley.
