Pretty much all the water used for washing (sinks, showers, washing machine) is perfectly fine for landscaping with no treatment. Right now it’s all mixed up with toilet and down the sever it goes (to the ocean).
Why is the reclaimed water usage for on-property landscaping not mandatory yet? Why are still new houses being build with no mandatory graywater reclamation systems build-in? Why does the government make it so difficult to retro-fit existing on-property sever lines for graywater reclamation? (I tried once, but gave up after seeing all ridiculous regulations and permit hoop jumping required.)
What about rainwater from your roof?
Some questions to ask our local goverment.
SD SquatterParticipantTried to get a roof tile paint… impossible to purchase or ship to CA. I guess I will have to take my roof to Arizona for painting.
Don’t even get me started on CA-specific catalytic converters… $$$$$

The owner decided to sell at a loss, probably to a flipper/contractor who fixed the problem (hence the hardwood replacing tiles in some areas of the house where the crack was) and put it back on the market. I would speculate that the owner may have sued the original seller for the loss.
SD SquatterParticipantAny discussion about racial/genetic differences, especially when it comes to predisposition to crime, IQ, school test scores, etc. is a total and complete taboo. Any racial comments in general (see Donald Sterling). I can’t think of a bigger taboo than that.
Maybe less of a taboo:
– democracy (i.e. the ultimate social system that is desired by all people)
– homosexuality (i.e. orientation vs sexual disorder)
– support of Israel
– support of veterans
– money
– prop 13 in CA politics 😉SD SquatterParticipantIs there an easy way to check the number of houses for rent in San Diego at any given time? It would be interesting to see the for-sale vs for-rent ratio over time.
Getting the size of the for-sale inventory is the easy part.

Not that difficult to explain. Look at L.A. demographics for the answer.
SD SquatterParticipantBringing back an old topic back from the dust bin?
Jim did a tour of these last year:
Still waiting for the market to “catch up”…
SD SquatterParticipant
Right now one property was listed at 935k to 975k. Is it worth buying property with pole views and substation view at that price?
100k profit just for living in the house for half a year. I don’t see any upgrades. Nice…

Well, I only see one possibility: wrecking ball.

So, what’s the point of this listing???
Now a “stunning remodel”, flipping for $90k more:

Just showing how twisted this market is.
