ParticipantI don’t believe this will affect the buyers pool at all. I do not know of many FHA flippers. Correct that, I know of no FHA flippers. I do know of many short sales and reo properties that will not work with FHA.
Furthermore many FHA buyers get scorched when going up against conventional financed buyers.

ParticipantI have seen all cash offers in short sales get accepted over higher financed offers. However in one particular case the offer was all cash with no contingencies and a 7 day close. It snaked the top offer and we were in second position so we got snaked as well.

ParticipantI agree with sdr and ocr. I don’t quite buy that they missed a single payment and the home went to trustee sale. Sorry about that. Even if the home was sold at trustee sale there are some steps that your friend can take to stay a bit longer but not much longer.
