Rt.66
ParticipantBS ALLEN, I’ve been thru all this already.
Anyone can read this thread and see I’ve trumped your arguments; if not in direct response to you then to some other hater.
“30 and out” responsible for all our auto manufacturing woes, another zinger there Mr. MasterDebater. Are you sure it wasn’t aliens?
Why do you talk out of both sides of your mouth Allen? It seems you can’t give up on your efforts to convince others that US cars are shitty and we deserve to lose our jobs and national wealth to Japan and Korea and then out the other side you claim all this patriotic blah-blah-blah. Can you see the oddity?

ParticipantAN,
Care to expose your soft underbelly and contribute. Or do you think we respect you for your clever drive-bys?
Go ahead give us your contribution and we’ll see who the retard is.

Participant
Cabal: In the immortal words of Sister Mary Joseph (my 6th grade teacher): “You are the fucking man!”
Awesome post and a concise, precise statement as to why protectionist nitwits like Scarlett and Paddy are DEAD WRONG.
Smoot-Hawley, anyone? And, no, Paddy, it isn’t a dessert wine.
“Perhaps Jeff is simply a free trader at heart, indirectly saying with absolute clarity that we the people should not be afraid of global competition. After all, in its essence, free trade versus protectionism is simply a battle of self-interests between the general public and private enterprise.”
Allen you mental midget, there is a BIG, BIG difference in calling for FAIR trade and being a protectionsist. We (the USA) practice trade charity, not free trade. Our trade competitors practice predatory trade, not “free trade”. Why do you have so much trouble getting that?
I advocate FAIR trade, a level playing field like other countries create on thier home turf for their manufacturers.
