ParticipantAmericans do not support other Americans. Americans do not support the other guy’s job. In fact in America it seems more popular to be jealous of the other guys job and hope it goes to Japan or China.
If WE do not fight for our good jobs why would the Gov. or Corporations care? They could really give a rats as about us workers.
The unbeliavable screwing will continue until we do something about it. To me, that seems a long way off as even in this climate of depression and job losses its rare to hear someone supportive of GM, Ford or Chrysler.
So for now TPTB will use our tax dollars to faciitate even more jobs going to countries who appreciate good jobs.
Celebrate the death of GM while you can. Who nows how long it will be before its your job on the chopping block and suddenly you’ll be singing a different tune about US jobs.

ParticipantThat’s disgusting! When I send in my power bill I write SCAM on the check, useless I know, but it makes me feel better 🙂
Isn’t deregulation nice? On top of crazy high rates and non-sensical base lines, if you go to build in a rural area you get another nasty surprise. It used to be that in exchange for being able to have a monopoloy electric companies were required to bring power to pretty much anyone that wanted it, sans-charge. Thats why you see old ranches and such all alone way out in the boonies with miles of power poles to feed just one residence. Today to get power costs $8k-$16k per pole!

Now I can’t afford to buy a house
‘I just got my friggin water bill! HOLY $#!T There’s gonna be a lot of dead lawns around the IE if my bill is any indication. Last month $50, this month $260!!! I used the exact same amount of water as last year (give or take a cup or two). They must have my baseline amount set the same as a 500 s/f apartment.

Whats up with TG blasts on these threads? I am not sure if you guys are trying to get his goat but WTF? I think that their maybe a bit of jealousy. TG had the balls to pull trigger on the right property….will you?I think a lot of people are putting on some blinders to what the government is doing. I don’t agree with it but there is a possibility that it may work. What are you going to do if it does? Remember what mom used to say, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”.[/quote]
This is a debate forum, correct?
Nothing personal on my end, that would be silly. On a non-personal debate level:
TG and the TVMOD members have boldly stated that now is a good time to buy/bottom for RE in TV.
That of course will attract counter opinions. TG is greatly loved on this board for his flamboyant writing style and happy go lucky feel. I get that. But….still…. it is a pretty outrageous position he and TVMOD take so forgive me if I and others can’t help but respond.
TVMOD tend to get out of control without the occasional “sanity post” and when they get to feeling their oats they gang-up on you mid thread and gather strength from the turbo charged warm-fuzzy feelings and PF Changs crowd reports they feed to each other. If left unchecked they may even suggest nah-sayers find their way off the forum. One must stay on top of things if they dare disagree with TVMOD.
Greatly outrageous positions will often be received by outrageous responses 🙂
Can you expand on the whole jealous issue please? I don’t get it.
