Rich ToscanoKeymaster
Rich,
Brian’s trying to start a fight again. He needs to go to his room until he can play nice.
You of all people are calling someone else out on this? You just did that very thing today in another thread, except much more blatantly.
As for this post, it’s posted as its own thread in the OT section and it’s about a topic (a boring and inconsequential one, imho, but a topic nonetheless), as opposed to just being namecalling. So I don’t see it as being in violation of the forum policy.
Also, no, they are not coming from the same IP address.

Rich ToscanoKeymasterThe US in the 70s, for generic stagflation. (BTW if high inflation and low growth/employment never happen together, why is there a word to describe them happening together?)
Or, for an example of an inflation driven by a loss of confidence in the sovereign debt and currency, Iceland in 08-09.
I don’t know how to make an example gallop so I think I’m good.

Rich ToscanoKeymaster
You are wasting your breath talking to a Liberal, Allan. They are fundamentally incapable of reason when it comes to politics. I thought they believed in survival of the fittest, so why do we have entitlements, welfare, subsidized housing, etc? If Darwin is correct and there is no God, then people should make it or not without help from the government. Or was Darwin wrong and we need to interfere with the prime directive and save the poor and helpless. So which is it?
Zeitgeist, you are guilty of trying to turn a content-based discussion into an ad hominem liberal vs. conservative mudslinging fest. Please don’t do it again.

And it amazes me how many people think a good economy is a prerequisite for inflation…
