I teach the women/kids in my life to do the dirty fighting tricks. Besides the obvious knee-to-groin, a few things that they can use to get away from an adult male which don’t require much thinking:
Thumbs to eye sockets. Not fingers, thumbs, because you can use the fingers to grab hold of his head and provide leverage for getting the thumbs in there. And no being queasy about doing that kind of damage – he lost his rights to health and happiness the moment he grabbed you.
Head to nose. Be sure to use the top of your head, not your forehead (like they always do in the movies). A solid hit to the nose with something as hard as your skull will temporarily blind him, giving you a chance to get a kick in.
Heel to kneecap. It requires aiming and is probably the most difficult to pull off. The others should be tried first, but it’s nice to have this in your arsenal in case the opportunity arises.
These also apply to aggressive dogs, except maybe the headbutt.
Combinations need to be done in rapid succession, because that eye gouge may only give you a split second before he pins your arms to your sides.
If help isn’t close by, it’s important to finish him off (not necessarily kill him, but keep him from coming after you) using any weapon at hand – a large rock, kitchen knife, whatever. I keep clubs in various places in the home and car (a small bat, pry bar, etc.). Once you’ve used the dirty tricks, if he gets a chance to recover, you’re in much greater danger, especially if you’re all of 120 pounds and/or he’s armed.
I recommend the thumbs followed by a kneecap kick. Personally, I would finish up with a severe beating, but then I’ve got anger issues 🙂
If he’s got a gun, all bets are off, but these tricks would work in many typical abduction/rape scenarios where no weapon is evident.
