ParticipantBased on the condition of the planet at this time, it seems like it would be in our best interest to concentrate on energy creation that does not involve burning things. Whether we dig it outta the groung or grow it, if we burn it, it’s bad for the planet. Wind, nuclear, geothermal, solar, hydrolic, tidal, etc…all seem like far better alternatives for the long run.
Imagine what will happen to the atmosphere when all the people in China and India get the car they want and it burns some kinda fuel?!peterb

ParticipantWhat “Middle Class”? There may be a “Middle Gap”, but the Middle Class started going away a long time ago. The fact that no president nor congress has actually created an energy policy since the Oil Embargo of the late 1970’s should tell us all a lot about both parties! Even Business Week concluded years ago that corporate influence should not be allowed in politics.

ParticipantIf the Fed can bail-out Wall Street, then you should feel free to do the most effecient and effective thing for your personal finances.
I dont think the Fed’s going to bail you out anytime soon.
I dont know why people feel the need to judge undividuals after the way big business behaves.peterb
