Even if we experience price inflation in some consumer goods, it’s nothing compared to the asset deflation taking place right now and for most of 2008! I think that from 2010 to 2015 there will some absolutely amazing deals on assets.

Why risk the craziness in the markets right now?! Time is your friend right now if you’re positioned correctly. For those people that are in liquid assets and employed, there will be opportunities that may be once-in-a-lifetime.

I’ve lived in a 3rd world country and we’re light years ahead of that. People are way too quick to write-off US fundementals and resources.

We just have to go through this correction and then rebuiild. There will be some killer opportunities.
We have an amazing infrastructure that needs some maintenance. A work ethic second only to the Asians. Natural resoourses abound. Plenty a land, etc…
We need to get our govt back in-line with growth and opportunity. Shrink the bastard a little or a lot. Get some regulation back in financials and we’re good to go.

Yeah, we’re totally screwed. Short the market and stay cash as long as possible. One good outcome from this will be that outrageously great deals that will be available in the trough.
